My birth mother Rilla Stipe was born on November 20, 1922 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In 1941, she gave birth to a baby that she placed for adoption. It is possible that she might have had a child prior  to 1941. In 1942,  she left Canada and entered the United States illegally.

It is known that from 1942 when she arrived in NYC she lived in an area called Hell's Kitchen which was predominantly Irish.  Because she was in the United States  illegally she used two aliases...Ilene or Eileen Stewart and Ilene Seivers. She lived with an older man named Ray for a while and she could have possibly been married to Wilbur John Seivers.

She gave birth to several babies between the years 1942 to 1957. It is possible that some of these babies were bi-racial. She could have placed a few of them for adoption through an agency, possibly NY Foundling but it is believed that  she sold most of them on the black market to either a baby broker or directly to couples looking to adopt without having to go through the legal adoption process.

I am searching for a little girl born with red hair and brown eyes. Her year of birth is estimated somewhere between 1950 to 1956 in the Hell's Kitchen area of New York City.

Also, male twins born between 1950 to 1956.  I was told they were named Donnie and Ronnie by birth-mother. They were born with reddish-blond hair and brown eyes. I believe they were kept until they were about 8 months old.

There are other children. I do not know if she used other aliases when she gave children up for adoption or if she was possibly married a few times so she had different married names.  All these children probably were born in NYC between the years 1942 and 1957. She was deported back to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in late 1957.

I have been searching for many years. If any of this story sounds familiar to you or you have reason to believe you might be one of these children please contact me at whisperpink@yahoo.com
